Can’t seem to get on the same page?

Are you and your partner arguing about the small things so much that it’s getting in the way of connecting? Have you lost sight of even why you are together? This is not uncommon. The little things usually have a deeper meaning. We do couple’s therapy so we can get to the root and begin to heal. Those unhealed wounds come out in defenses and make us really bad at communicating.

Maybe you don’t like when your partner doesn’t put away the laundry and it really bothers you for days or they make a snarky comment at you in front of your mutual friends but you brush it off. These are examples of things that can build into arguments. Once the argument happens, you may open up a whole spectrum of other things you were waiting to talk about and then realize you haven’t been happy for a while. This can be very scary.

Many couples avoid saying things to each other thinking that will make the patterns go away. Usually it makes them stronger and reinforced. Getting on the same page is airing out grievances until you get to the root of what is happening. Let’s discover the patterns so we can find solutions.

Let’s work together to shift into communicating well, having conflict well, feeling safe again. Connecting with your partner is important. Let me help you find the way back to each other.
